Fun, catchy tune! February 15, 2010 Sam A. Mead (CO) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Train has been around for a long time. While never being a favorite of mine, this song, "Hey, Soul Sister," has an incredibly catchy tune.
Great for a few fun listens, but probably never a future classic.

"Hey,Soul Sister" gives me ambiguous feelings. It has a great melody and rhythm. It's immediately catchy, with a reggae beat. San Francisco's Train has come back--but is it the San Francisco Treat? It's the usual pop love song--but some of the lyrics are plain laughable. Especially when front man Pat Monahan sings about his "untrimmed chest"--is it supposed to be a gross-out,a turn-on,or BOTH? A man singing about his chest hair in a love song is.... unique. Fun song--but maybe it's best as an instrumental? I don't know.
Hated it at first, but now I can't stop listening to it October 1, 2009 Ann Luu 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I saw Train in concert several days ago and they played this song!
they sound so much more amazing live!
I really hated this song at first when my sister introduced me to it, but after listening to it for a while it becomes really catchy and a pretty melody.
This song always makes me smile now whenever I listen to it -- the lyrics, the melody, everything.
Best thing I've heard in a while. August 22, 2009 Happy Joe (California) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Simply put: run, don't walk to hear this song. This is, in my opinion, sure to be a Train monster song. The kind of song you cannot listen to just once. Train is in the station.
Hey, Train's Back August 17, 2009 Groundskeeper Willie 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
As a Train fan, I've waited awhile for this song. While it demonstrates more development of the band that is now three very talented men, it is a beautiful blend of the past, early Train with the more recent evolution of the band on "For Me, It's You." Coupled with a fantastic mandolin part and Pat's crystal clear vocals, the song has much replayability and will grow on you the more you hear it - and it will be stuck in your head for days!
Well worth the download and well worth the look at the new album on October 27.
