| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Players of all levels will enjoy the precise, uniform intonation of the 20-Series recorders. The translucent recorders are the same fine quality you have come to depend on from Yamaha. Ease of play makes the 20-Series the perfect place to start. A three-piece recorder has several advantages: some people find three-piece recorders easier to clean; small adjustments for ease of fingering or intonation can be made to the foot joint; and if you have a group of children who like to play their recorders when they should be listening, you can have them take off the head joint to practice fingerings without making any noise. We recommend purchasing a cleaning rod - since these recorders are really translucent, you will want to keep them very clean.

PINK!! May 17, 2010 sunburn25 (Ohio) It's just what my daughter wnated and was cheaper even with shipping than the stores around my home.
Durable even for my 3 year old March 22, 2010 Crystal (CT, USA) I bought this for my 3 year old who is really into making music right now. She loves the clear pink color and after having it for 3 months it is still in good shape, except for the teeth marks she made at the mouth piece from biting down a bit, which doesn't effect the sound. Only problem, is that a 3 year old with a recorder is loud. lol
Pretty Recorder March 3, 2010 L. Painter (Butler, PA United States) This was just what my daughter needed for her recorder class at school and she is definitely the coolest 4th grade girl around with a pink recorder!
3 year old loves it October 31, 2008 Sproutie (IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very sturdy construction and sounds great. Cant beat the price. I thought it was standard practice to include a cleaning stick to help with the spittle, but this did not.

I got 2 of these for my daughters, as instruments go it is inexpensive and since I wasn't sure how interested they were in learning music thought this would be a good place to begin, and I was right. I already know how to read music so I picked up the basics pretty quickly and then was able to teach my daughter the fingering. My youngest quickly lost interest once she found out I wanted her to read the music. My oldest however played for a talent show, which made her really happy. It is good quality as far as an inexpensive models go, I like how it comes apart for easy cleaning, it's portable- my daughter even brought it with her on a girlscout overnight for a little campfire fun. It has been a really good first instrument.
