Yum August 3, 2010 Lou One of the best ramen I've tried, spicy and it comes with a seaweed packet unlike many of the ramen you find in grocery stores. Very high in sodium, I dump the broth after eating the noodles and veggies.
Best Ramen, hands down! July 9, 2010 bigbluedanube 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used to eat brands like Nissin and Maruchan, but then I found this in my local grocery store, and I love it! The broth is thick, hearty, and spicy, and the veggie bits give it a more authentic taste. The only problem is the sodium content, but virtually every instant ramen has too much sodium.
Best Ramen Hands Down!!! March 24, 2010 S. Karl (Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Best Ramen Hands Down!!! The noodles are bigger and have better flavor and the broth has such better flavoring than Top Ramen and Maruchan. They are pricier but if you're eating ramen by itself as a meal, this is the way to go. If you're just boiling noodles for stir fry or whatever, you can get away with other brands. The Kimchi flavor is by far the best. I tried this brand/flavor when it was on sale on a whim not knowing if it would be good or not and boy was I surprised.
The noodles come in a brick that is circular! No more breaking up square bricks to fit in small pans! They come with a seasoning packet and a vegetable packet which is nice. You definitely don't need the entire seasoning packet...in fact you can get by with HALF of it without it tasting too weak, but greatly reducing your sodium intake. They are on the spicy side but so is Kimchi(cabbage rubbed in chili powder and pickled).
If you just want to try a single bowl or foil package try your local asian grocer or sometimes my local wally-world carries the Styrofoam bowls in the Kimchi flavor around a buck.
yum! noodles!!! January 30, 2010 D. Le (SF, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My favorite noodles. I recommend adding an egg during the last minute of boiling. delicious!
tastes good, too much MSG September 19, 2009 Amanda Peck (Waynesboro) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Tastes good. Nicely spicy, especially for breakfast.
BUT....
I'm somewhat sensitive to MSG. And I do believe that this has more than I need. Fine for one day, but by the 3d day in a row, I'm waking up with a headache that sure feels like a MSG headache.
At a guess, more than the standard supermarket ramen has.
In neither case do I eat "one serving." More likely "one package" or allegedly two servings.
But if I can space these out, they're fine.
