"OldTimer Likes This First Person Shooter" July 1, 2008 Late Shopper I'm not computer savvy like many of the reviewers of this game, I couldn't recognize a gigabyte if it bit me, and I would hazard a guess that most of the reviewers are my sons' ages, but I do know what I like. Since I retired, I've played many of this type of game, and while the training mode can be a bit frustrating, the remainder of the game is well thought out, and fun to play. It is neither too easy nor too hard, moves along well, and the graphics are adequate. I haven't completed it yet, but the sections I've finished were engaging, and I look forward to the next level. All in all, a good game, worth the money.
Awsome gory game April 24, 2008 Daniel E. Power (Thornton, PA United States) This is the ultimate shooter game. The damage is very real... sometimes a bit too real :P. Limbs will be blown off and blood will be spilled. You are a mercenary. Use your weapons to help fight terrorists and save hostages. One of the best shooters I played.
Soldier of Fortune II January 14, 2008 M. Stickles (Georgia) My experience with Amazon orders in general has been a wonderful experience. I recently purchased Soldier of Fortune II for my son and he loves the game. The game arrived just as we requested and was in great shape. I would recommend this to anyone.
Thanks Amazon, Marjorie
One of the Greatest FPS of all time! November 2, 2006 Steve (Kenosha, WI) SOF2, the sequel to one of the most goriest games ever made, makes a return, but has a lot more detail than the first. In this game, you can actually shoot somebody's eye out, you can actually see a brain when you cut somebody's head and slicing pieces of it off, and you can even shoot somebody's hand. unlike the first game, the graphics are much more improved. the first game (which is also a classic) had PSone graphics, where the characters were blocky. The game has a nice selection of weapons, a few exclusive to this version.
Not to be played on a full stomach and not for children March 25, 2006 steven (salt lake city, UT USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Man oh, man, was this game ever gory. I remember the first time that I played this game and I almost puked. I mean, the first shot at a bad guy that I took, ripped his whole arm off. It was disgusting. I am telling you this honestly, note; THIS GAME IS NOT FOR CHILDREN AND IS NOT TO BE PLAYED BY THE FAINT OF HEART OR ON A FULL STOMACH!!! Don't believe me? Go to Gamespot.com, type in Soldier of Fortune, and look at the screenshots and pretty much all of them will show up looking like buckets of blood and decapitated bodies. However, for those that are looking for a good solid action and can handle the content of the game, I highly recommend this but not on a full stomach. So, parents, with this said, it was a great idea to write to check your child's wish list twice, and if this game shows up, the answer should be no way in hell.
