REALLY COOL, the first cool thing about this game is that any vehicle that you see on the battlefield is yours, tanks, jeeps, helicopters, boats it doesn't matter it's yours!! Get on a HUMMVEE and man the 50.CAL or flank the enemy with your attack boat,or even better, destroy your ground enemies from the skies above with your Russian built Mil Mi-35 gunship, it's all yours! Also the vehicles are very good, the IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle)are very good against infantry, and somewhat good against tanks too, but you have to use some tactics against a tank if you what to take it down, you have to repeatedly fire on it and move at the same time, so the tank can't trace you with its gun. It works. The other good thing about the IFVs is that they're fast, so they can get out of trouble without getting much damage, there's also a rocket launcher with more elevation (than the main weapon) to take out helicopters. And the solider classes are good too, you have assault, engineer, medic, and sniper! Also the weapons are cool, you can use shotguns, machine guns, snipers rifles, assault rifles, RPGS, grenades and other things. But the guns are futuristic, I bet you've never seen anything like them before. And there are a lot of missions so you won't get bored of it quickly, and you do very different things in each mission, like in one you're hiding in the brush and taking out enemies, then in the other you're driving a tank and punching through enemy strong points-- you get to do everything. You can get upgrades also like auto-heal, level 3 weapons fire and other stuff. You alternate from playing Chinese to American but you can choose sometimes. The story line is pretty cool too I don't want to tell you so I don't ruin it for you. The graphics and the sound are very good too. If you like modern war games than get this you won't be disappointed trust me!

This game was a great disappointment, it's nothing like the pc version which was great! With in the second day of me playing this game on my xbox 360 i hated it!

No Jets (like the PC version they have jets)
Too Bold (Game isn't very interactive with its environment)

Well that's about it, overall i would not recommend this game to anyone who has played it on the PC because it is nothing close to what that version has to offer.

Let me start out by saying that I have played a few FPS's on the PS2 and this was one of the worst. I mainly rate a game on how much fun it really is and although BF 2:MC is fun in the beginning, the game eventually gets boring and tedious. One cool feature of the game is the ability to swap places with different members of your squad but other than that the game offers nothing much to the table. The original Battlefield games on the PC were really good and that was the reason I got this game. If you are looking for a game that lasts a few hours with repetitive (although initially fun) gameplay, with one of the better graphics on the PS2 then this might be the kind of game for you. If you are looking for a good FPS on the PS2 get Black (one of the best shooters on the console) or the SOCOM games, both of which are more fun to play.

I loved the Battlefield 1942 game for my PC and I picked up this game for a few bucks and it is good but there are some gripes. These gripes mainly do with frustration. It seems like the enemy AI is extremely accurate but your team mate AI is pretty worthless as they are basically there to be shot. I do not mind completing all the objectives by myself but when your allies are worthless they can cost you the battle. Say for instance you will often be depleted of your allies and be swarmed with a constant barrage of enemy soldiers and then you fail your mission. Your ally AI is brain dead for the whole reason of the hotswapping feature which allows you to line up and take over one of the braindead guys.
What also adds to the frustration is if you die the game automatically hotswaps you to one of these guys which can leave a disorienting feel to it as you might be taking over a guy that is being shot at by 4 or 5 enemies at once. Also what adds to the frustration is you move extremely slow so if you are trying to run and duck for cover to get your bearings you character is so slow you are going to just end up dead. Also there is no difficulty setting. I am the type of person that likes to play on easy mode and work my way up the difficulty ladder. Also you might have an easy mission and then the next one will be extremely hard. It just makes the game feel unbalanced to be honest.
The missions do vary and the weapons available are nice also. Controls work good enough (aiming). The production values are there and it shows. I just cannot shake the feeling that this game could have been so much better. Some will love and some will dislike or even somewhat like it.
The highlight of this game is two things. Those two things that make this game worth playing in extremely short spurts is the great looking graphics and sound. Other than that the only reason to pick this game up is if you get it in the $5 - $10 range. If you can handle the level of frustration that comes along with the game and its shortcomings you might find some fun here. But at the same time there are a lot better games out there.

first off I'm not really Elsine Reid, thats my moms name. k for the review, I got this game at a gamestop in the mills, and it is kick ass. the hotswapping feture is pretty cool, but my favorite things the detonation mines. I've never played online yet, but I don't have a network adapter, kinda pisses me off. But this game is awesome and I got it for $10
