People say this Game has bugs. I disagree, I haven't crossed one bug yet! I rented it and played the demo, but no bugs, no repeating voices from AI, none of that nature. But, the AI is dumb as dirt, also the enemy AI is annoyingly accurate. But, the game is still great. Yes, it has some minor "issues" that shouldn't really effect the game.Hey, yeah, sure it has it problems, but what game doesn't? Also how many games let you destroy everything and just have fun? Not a lot, I know. You don't have to do a contract, but yet you can! You control the world! Have fun with this amazing game.

this game is a very fun game you can do everything(fly any helicopter drive any car or tanks you find. and you can buy or hijack them.)But you cant fly any big planes or jets, and you don't have a parachute so if your enemies shoot or bomb your plane down you fall and die or you get low on health.The game is a two player game but only online.Overall its a fun game but the action like when you shoot isn't awesome like in splinter cell conviction but its still good.I would buy this game. And the fact that you can do everything is so fun. But you should buy this game if it has to be a teen game otherwise if you want another great game that you can do everything plus you have a parachute buy just cause 2 but it is a mature game!

So I was a late buyer of this game. I had time to see the bad reviews mentioning the bugs, and I assumed the people were a little too nit picky, that was not a correct assumption.
I fell in love with the original Mercs. It was open, you could still stuff, you had AI buddies that would help somewhat. It was easy to find tanks of choppers that you wanted, I rarely paid for anything. So this was a no brainer for me. However, this is truly a step back for the series I will list some of the most annoying.
The voice acting is horrible. I played as the spiky hair guy and had to mute it. Just awful
I could be shot for hours on certain plays (I think there is a bug) and then other times one shot would kill me.
The voice acting of those who ride with you, they have to say something every five seconds, and they only have four or five sayings (I think you see the issue.)
The fact the AI will shoot at the person with a pistol instead of the tank heading at you.
Anti-aircraft machine gun type weapons that fire homing missles (What it is a gun, not a missle launcher.)
The lack of adequate programming. You can take an enemy helicopter and go to an enemy base, pick up a tank or AA truck, dump it in a river, then attach the base. Not sure why this bothers me, but bad.
Some of the objs are impossible, one that sticks on my mind is the person on an oil rig that you must capture. Problem is there is an enemy helicopter that will attack you with missile, which destroys the oil rig.
All of the weird getting stuck bugs.......
I enjoyed the game, but when it concluded with 1.5 minutes of X,Y,X,A,B,Y and if I missed a single press, I had to start over 15 minutes of work lost... I was sad and that is how the game ended. If you want to drive around and blow stuff up, you will enjoy it for about 5 to 6 hours, if you want anything else, you will enjoy it for about 1 - 2 hours.

i unlocked the scorcher i got it by collecting spare parts and a glich helped me the glich would be i would collect 10 spare parts then save the game then shut it off then i would go back and drive by where they were and then i would have 20 then i would shut it down and then go back and drive buy again keep on repeting it until i would have 100 thats how i got the scorcher

The game would have been awesome, too bad it does not work on new Xbox 360's. Bought one for myself and one for my friend, Cd loads then gets stuck in the intro screen when connecting to live. What fun is this game if youre not playing with buddies? Bought 2 originally from gamestop, did not load. Bought 2 from here, again, did not load, friends also did not load, 4 cds, 2 xboxs, none worked. Way to drop the ball EA and give up on a game after launch.
also tried all the fixes, flush the game cache, etc. NO DICE.
