I bought this as a gift for my son in law so I haven't played this video game but purchased it based on other great reviews of the game.
 Uncharted 2 has ruined me for all of these substandard fantasy games April 23, 2010

I just got a ps3 late last year, and the only game that has blown my mind is Uncharted 2. After that, most of the other 30 or so games I've tried just seem low-quality in many ways. Legendary almost tops that list.
The graphics seem so halfassed; hard to believe this is only 18 months old. You're made to run into all sorts of little corners and forced into tight spots and after a while it just feels confined and one-dimensional. The monsters are not that interesting, having to stop and constantly get animus/energy gets old fast, and there's really very little mystery, just lots of checkpoints and instructions. Running and jumping feels balky compared to so many other games. The visual perspective of the FPS character is too narrow. Etc etc.
All in all, while the basic concept is good, I can only imagine how designers of this and other games felt when U2 came out. It supersedes all of them and unfortunately (or not, as far as using up time goes) has made me demand a lot more from most games than they can deliver at this point.
Legendary might have blown my mind if it was the first video game I'd ever played. But, it wasn't and it didn't.
Unless someone gives this to you, I'd pass.

Legendary is a first person shooter, based around Greek mythology. The enemies are original and entertaining to battle and the game provides the back story for each(based on the aforementioned myths in Greek culture). This lends itself to a highly original experience and something new for the FPS genre. The AI is very intelligent and provides a nice challenge, even on Normal difficulty level. The graphics in this game are well done and the animation fluid and believable. The real star of the show with this game is the sound! The best use of surround in any game to this date. Everything is crisp and clear in each and every speaker. I am convinced that the sound effects in this game are uncompressed, due to the fact they sound so crystal clear and easily discernible from any direction. It immerses you in the action much deeper than most games and really keeps you on edge.
This is one of those gems that shoots under the radar and never gets a fair chance. In the world of me too, copy cat shooters... this game stands out as one of the best on the system. The negative reviewers here, I am guessing, were expecting too much from the get go. Go into this game with no expectations and I guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised. It is in my top 10 experiences on the Xbox 360... and I have played and beat over a hundred retail games to date.
Buy it if you enjoy fun in its truest form.

people nowdays are too picky !!! specially game sites. this game is pretty fun, theres not many weapons and u cant really jump. but the controls are easy. best part about this game is the monsters u fight.fighting the wolves is cool ,running down a street with chaos breakn out. tons of action,if u love action games/shooters then give this a try. its not great but what game is nowdays.
