2 out of 5 stars NPPL Paintball!   January 13, 2010

I have both of the Greg Hastings games for the xbox and I also have this for the WII but on the Wii its hard to play. The biggest negative I have on this game is it plays like you are on a 3 mile field. At the start you can hardly see any of the other team. Then once you get a few of the other teams players out its mission impossible to find the last 2 guys. the AI is a little better than the older games but the graphics don't improve much. I enjoy the game but I still like the hastings games better.

2 out of 5 stars Only worth it if the price is under $7   December 20, 2009

NPPL Championship Paintball 2009 was a disappointment for me. I suppose it is obvious that Activision didn't want to spend a whole lot of time with this game but there is too much repitition.

Pros
-Gives you the on-field paintball feel
-Decent gun and upgrade availability

Cons
-Graphics aren't great.
-Super repetitive
-Controls are super dodgy and unresponsive at times.
-Poor multiplayer
-Poor career setup

Overall, this game wasn't worth the $30.00 I spent on it. It seems to be as sketchy as the early 360 games but it is about the only paintball game available. It would have been nice to play something other than the same old speed ball fields. Some random woods or house matches would have been a refreshing change-up.

Multi Player Option would be nice...not much online through 360 to update and keep current.

2 out of 5 stars multiplayer? no repetitive? yes   May 21, 2009

This game is 100% repetitive. Most of the different locations look exactly the same as the last match you played on, theres no skill needed to this game, its a terrible buy, as the lighting on this game sucks so badly you cant distinguish a guy from the bunker. There is a multiplayer mode. Saying that I tried it, there's maybe, I don't know 6 people ever! playing the multi-player, you'll never get into a match, and its impossible to send your friends invites to this game. 2/5

3 out of 5 stars Pretty Fun, Pretty Repetitive Too   April 2, 2009

The career mode is very repetitive. You go through I would guess 40-50 venues doing either capture the flag or elimination. The game is quite easy (granted I only played on the normal mode, not the hard one) since the AI is downright dumb. Where this game really shines is online. You can play in all the venues you play during carrer but then they have some woodshed? fields. I think that is the name, I forget, but anyway, they are like open-field fields where you can play CTF or elimination as well. The Woodshed? fields are much larger than the other venues and are very cool. The game is pretty fast paced, the guns can all be upgraded, but there are no 'superguns' that have like 100% accuracy or anything like that. Everything seems balanced and even for the most part.

In summation, if you do not have a GOLD Xbox account this game will not give you much in my opinion, but if you plan to go online and play it is well worth the money. Rest assured that as much as I was pleasantly surprised, there is ample online activity with this game, the longest I have ever had to wait to get a game going was 7-8 minutes, with most started in well under 5.
