Amazon.com Product Description Great for traveling, planes, airports, hiking, camping, on campus, or just out for the day, the ezGear powerStick is a great solution for iPod users who are on the go. The powerStick works with all iPods that have dock connectors, including the iPod mini, and actually charges the battery in your iPod. Using four AA batteries, the powerStick can completely charge your iPod three to four times with a fresh set. It is compatible with all iPods that have dock connectors, such as the video iPod, iPod nano (third and fourth generation), iPod Photo, and iPod Mini.

One man's journey February 25, 2008 James B. Hively (Ferndale, WA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Well I just got back from a two week trip to a remote part of Indonesia. I spent nearly four days on planes and in airports and the rest of the time in the jungle with no electricity. BUT, I always had juice for my iPod nano!!! This product did it's job perfectly. It powered the iPod when plugged in and fully charged it as well. Many other products power and don't charge. I took an entire pack of AA batteries from Costco, but didn't end up needing them so I gave most of them away to locals.
I have a single complaint about the product. The connector (with small latches that hook on to my iPod) was much stiffer on one side than the other, so I frequently twisted it when trying to remove the charger. Easily solved by just squeezing hard enough (when I would remember).
Bottom line? It worked for me.
