Sweet iPod Docking Station!! January 6, 2009 Vardis E. Hines This device does it all, Rip music from MP3 players, play MP3 CDs, connections to your cell phone via BlueTooth, stream BlueTooth music, plays CDs, Ipods, connects to a BlueTooth cell phone and you can answer calls from the radio and lots of other 'extras'!
Perfect! I found the right dock for my Ipod. December 4, 2008 Boyet103 (Lake Elsinore CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am very pleased with this purchase.I used it to dock my 160G Ipod Classic. Its not as loud as my hometheater but It does its job filling my bedroom with music.I don't need a hometheater loudness for my bedroom. It's not only an Ipod dock but it has a CD player and an AM/FM tuner.I tried using my USB 8G flashdrive,(I copied all my MP3 collection from my PC to to my flashdrive)and dock it to the usb on this machine and lo It reads all my MP3s and play it,I havent tried the SD/MMC slot yet.So many potentials. You can stream your music from PC via bluetooth. You can also answer cellphone calls on this machine.Cool!.
Works with iPhone, kinda October 30, 2008 Hardeep S. Leyl (New York, NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this device to work with my new 3G iPhone via bluetooth. If you dock the iPhone in the craddle, it works great(even though it says if doesnt support it). But when I tried to connect it wirelessly thru bluetooth, it did not work. I did some research and realized I needed an A2DP adapter for my iPhone to transmit music wirelessly. So I got one off ebay for $25. But even then I had some trouble. Finally, I realized that I needed to turn the bluetooth OFF in the iPhone settings and let the A2DP transmitter do its thing. Then it worked. I had called Philips for support, but they were clueless and useless
So, now that I've got it working, am happy with it. Although sound quality isnt great when transmitted via bluetooth. Sounds great when connected directly.
BTM630 remote controls. October 28, 2008 Harry T. Johnson Product funtions using chassis controls but not always with the remote. The remote can be used to turn the unit on and off but other functions do not always work.
Pretty good overall August 31, 2008 Bayes Bloomington (Twilingate, Newfoundland, Canada) All functions work as advertised.. most common complaint was the lack of power from the speaker, which was not an issue for me. I didn't expect to use the bluetooth function at all. But it turns out my laptop has bluetooth connection and I can use the BTM630 as an audio sink which provides MUCH MUCH better audio than my tiny laptop speakers. This was the most pleasant surprise. One touch ripping wasn't as useful as I thought since it only rips to USB/SDcard, but not the ipod directly. The remote control feels really cheap and plasticy.. but okay. the buttons are not the most user-friendly / intuitive.. so I had to refer to the manual often in the first month.. All in all, loads of *useful*functions for the price and good performance! I will recommend it to my friends for sure!!
