Intermittent connection December 25, 2008 Rocket Scientist (silver spring, md United States) I BARELY used this product, and it was not stressed in any kind of way while being stored in my car, however it already has an intermittent power issue. If the cable near the power connector to the Ipod/Iphone is bent a certain way, then you get NO power! This is really annoying because you have to try to place the cable in an ideal configuration for it to work.
Works perfectly for iPod December 21, 2008 Edward Davis Jr. (Mechanicville, New York United States) I use this for my iPod Video, and it works perfectly. When connected to my car outlet, the iPod charges and unlike other chargers I have used it does not create background noise while charging. When I detach the cable and use it on my PC, the PC picks up the iPod just as it would with the official cable and iTunes syncs as it should.
The charging light is an extremely useful feature. When the iPod is charging the light turns orange, and when it is no longer charging it turns green. Seeing as I can't always look at my iPod in the car to check battery level, this feature is indespensible. The charger also has its own replaceable fuse so you can recover from any surges and your iPod is protected.
Junk the cable, use the connector November 5, 2008 D. Morgan (St. Augustine, FL United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought the PowerJot for my iPhone 3G because reviewers praised its uniqueness: a fuse in its base to address power surges (and thus give the PowerJolt longer life). The cable that I received from Griffin (both the original and the one I got on return-for-replacement) was so tight at the iPhone end that I had to shove to get it in and wrestle to get it out. My workaround: use Apple's own designed-for-iPhone USB connector cable and junk the cheapie that Griffin sends with the PowerJolt ($19.95 more... but I have a reliable car-charger now and am not risking damage to my iPhone).
Charger works with 3G iPhone September 29, 2008 A. E. Hansen (Pasadena, CA United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Amazon shipped the correct charger, as shown in the picture. This is the same charger which the Apple online site recommends for the 3G iPhone.
Just Returned to AMAZON May 11, 2008 T. AOKI (Los Gatos, CA USA) 2 out of 9 found this review helpful
I got OLD, 2007 product than the new, 2008,advertised,
Pls., be careful to order this product , it should be 2008 product not 2007 product. The new one comes with LED for charging status however the old comes with extra cable for USB-miniUSB cable.
Just for your inf...
