Easily Broken January 7, 2009 smcgrth We purchased 24 of these glasses about 6 months ago and are now down to 5. They broke under normal use....in the dishwasher, in the kitchen sink (stainless steel) and a couple even broke while dispensing ice from the ice maker. These are the least durable glasses we have ever purchased. Oddly, we also have the 9 oz rocks size and haven't broken any.
Whitley Jo December 26, 2008 MS ALLEN (KANSAS) I purchased this set for Thanksgivng Dinner. They are a nice weight and looked very pretty on the tables, also kid friendly!
Great Glasses but removing the labels is a NIGHTMARE! December 17, 2008 CookinPA (West Chester, Pennsylvania) The glasses are a great size, as pictured, arrived in perfect condition and are a great value at this price. I gave them 4 stars because I think the labels on the bottom of each glass were applied with super glue!! When I read about the labels I wasn't too concerned because 'goo gone' has always made removing stubborn labels easy. It took several applications of goo gone, a razor knife and 45 min of scraping for me to remove the labels. What an unnecessary HASSLE!!
Great item, poor shipping December 8, 2008 N. B. Kennedy (Hopewell, NJ USA) I have these glasses and my niece wanted a dozen for Christmas. Amazon has a great price; however, as other reviewers have noted, the packaging is poor, with no padding between glasses. It's no surprise that one of them arrived broken. Amazon wanted me to return all 12, and then they would send me another dozen. Why? So that I could get another dozen with a broken one or two? I could see myself returning these boxes of glasses forever. I opted for a refund for the broken glass. Maybe I'll sneak one of my glasses into my niece's box. Or give her the refund money to buy one at a store somewhere.
breaks easily November 26, 2008 Cat On Keyboard (Rochester, NY United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this set and have been using it for less than a month. Out of 12 tumblers 6 have broken. These were not dropped..they break during normal washing (hand washing - no dishwasher). Unless you are particularly fond of picking up broken glass or really really enjoy getting deep cuts on your hand(s) stitched, I wouldn't buy these!
