I just received this mug today and immediately tried it out and so far am very impressed-just what I was looking for. I checked out reviews for travel cofee mugs on Amazon and decided on this one. Lots of people like the Thermos Nissan mugs but there were a few things I was not sure of with those. The no-spill version has this large handle that looks cumbersome and prone to knock-overs. Their backpack thermos has this bug hunged cover and the classic version had a leaky top and grip that eventually falls off. There are a number of reasons for this JoeMO XL: 1. The size and shape are fantastic-it's tall and thin, easy to grab and fits in cup holders too. It's a clean design. The new 16 oz size is a nice versitile quantity too. 2. The cap is a nice design as it has multiple seals to stop leaks. the push button opening allows 360 degree drinking instead of turning to align a hole with your mouth. 3. It insulates WELL!! I have a number of othercofee mugs and this kept tea hot for a couple hours AT LEAST-probably more a long enough for me. 4. The tea strainer insert is a nice bonus. Overall this appears to be a nicely designed and performing quality mug and a great choice among Amazon options. My final criteria will be how well it holds up to time and whether it is durable and moving part do not fail. We'll see! Consider this option highly....

I've had this mug for more than a year and have been very happy with it. I also bought one for a friend and it became the darling of the family -- I see the husband and wife take turns to use it. Now I'm returning to buy another one as a gift and want to say this product is really great!

This is by far the best travel mug I've ever used. I like my tea strong, hot, and with milk. This is not an easy thing to achieve, since the tea has to steep for a while, and milk cools it down even more. Now when I make tea, it stays nice and hot for hours.
I also like that there are not a lot of plastic parts. I chose this model because the plate on the top is metal instead of plastic. For me, the less plastic, the better! The top comes completely apart for easy hand washing.
I also do a lot of commuting. This mug has lived up to its leakproof claim. I've had it upside down in my bag for long periods of time, and it hasn't leaked yet!

This is the utlimate leak-proof mug! I searched and searched before narrowing my choices down to 3 mugs. I couldn't decide! I happened to tell my husband I wanted a bomb proof travel mug for my birthday and this was the one he found at a local coffee shop. He made the decision for me and it was the best decision by far. I've been using it for a week and it is so easy to use, so easy to clean and keeps things hot for so long. Great instructions are included for how to clean the cap thoroughly. Buy this item and throw away all your dumpy old travel mugs.
P.S. Highwave has fantastic customer service. I was calling them in compliment and they hooked me up!

I had owned the smaller version of this mug, and knew what a great job it did at keeping hot things hot and cold things cold. Being able to get the larger size just made sense, because I tend to drink a lot of coffee or ice water. This is a great product. One of the very few you can throw in your backpack or attache and not worry that it will leak or even let a drip escape. It is easy to clean too because inside the mug itself is nothing but a wall of stainless steel, with nothing to collect germs or to impart "off" flavors from previous drinks. There is a removable tea strainer that fits right into the mug, so you can brew loose tea or put a teabag in it and be able to remove it just by lifting the little handle on the strainer. If you are not drinking tea you can remove the strainer completely. It also comes with a handy little carry case, making it easy to transport. This is my favorite mug ever!
