You must have this item on your camera. I had taken the one I had off my camera when I was cleaning my gear im preparation for a trip and forgot to put it back on. I was bumped and the camera, which was hanging by a strap over my shoulder swung against something hard, putting a tiny nick at the edge of the LCD screen. Bingo, I had no LCD screen for the remainder of my trip. After paying $173, I had my camera back from repair with a new LCD screen. Don't go anywhere without this protection. This is a great device.

I purchased this to protect the screen of my Alpha 350. Although it works at first, it is ugly, it often will not stay on, and after not long, the pip/clip that holds it in place broke off. Thinking it was a fluke, I bought ANOTHER ONE. Guess what? The pip on THAT one broken off after just a few weeks.
It is already way overpriced. So I have ended up wasting $30 or something now. Very unhappy.

The concept was good, but the cover kept falling off from the LCD screen. We kept trying it for a week or two, and finally left it in a trash can in the park.

Plastic prongs on sides of this screen protector are poorly designed or made of low grade material. They chipped almost right away and now barely grip the LCD screen and it is popping off all the time. They should use less rigid or thicker plastic type.
