Awesome Holster July 20, 2010 Gweedo I bought this case to use with my Sony Alpha 330 camera with the basic zoom lens. I wanted a case that could protect the camera, allow it to be carried more easily, and one from which the camera could be removed easily. The SLRC-201 easily hits all of these points.
Protection: I like the suspension system for the camera and the fact that it has a hard, rubberized bottom. My camera fell 5 feet onto cement at an amusement park without any damage to the camera. Definitely happy with the protection vs. size ratio.
Ease of Use: I was going for a case that had some minor extra pockets (spare battery, memory card, maybe a lens filter) but really wanted to be able to remove and put back the camera with ease. I love the holster for this reason--but it is a bit of a tight fit with the camera strap. The strap is long enough to be worn across the body and isn't too uncomfortable to be worn around a hot amusement park. There looks to be enough room in the case for the camera with a larger lens...but there is no storage for a 2nd lens in the bag.
Great way to carry a single camera and lens June 22, 2010 Brian NY This is a perfect bag to carry a single camera and lens. I use it for my Canon T2i and EF-S 15-85mm lens. The sling holds the lens suspended for added protection and the plastic bottom keeps everything dry even if you set it down on wet grass. Side pockets are large enough for spare batteries or filters. My only complaint is I have to remove the lens hood for it to fit, but the hood fits in the bottom of the bag, upside down.
Great Case for Amateur Photographer June 8, 2010 Charlene C. Trapp (ATLANTA, GA USA) I'm not an expert in photography, but recently picked up a Canon SLR with telephoto lens (200mm) and flash. they all fit nicely in the case. the suspension system works very well for a long lens too. looked at a lot of cases in person and glad we picked this one. side pockets can hold a smaller flash and memory cards quite easily.
if you need multiple lens and a huge flash, this is not for you, it's really for a novice photographer or limited hardware.
Firts a Nikon D3000 with 18-55mm lens perfectly June 4, 2010 Luis Lainez (Los Angeles, CA) This case fits my D3000 with stock 18-55mm lens perfectly. The only part I don't like are the orange elastic bands. However, Case Logic is the best, they know what they're doing.
Great, inexpensive case for SLR owners May 17, 2010 Eileen G (New York, NY) I can't even count the number of digital cameras that I have accumulated over the years, but as a semi-pro photographer, I value my digital SLRs and want to protect them. This case is terrific with its suspension system, giving a little bit of added assurance to protect the camera's housing. The only real drawback is the limited space for additional accessories, but this gets the job done for those quick getaways where I don't intend to bring a lot of gear.
