Sync Cord July 20, 2010 J. B. Burnside (Louisiana) Very happy with this cord, replaced a Nikon cord that came missing. The connectors on both ends actually fit tighter no miss flashes than the old one. Very happy, good value.
Cord wound too tight to use full length May 12, 2010 Thomas B. Wright (Woodstock, Maryland USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great idea, bad execution. The cord is wound so tight it can flip your flash tripod over. I still have this but now use wireless.
Great low cost alternative.. February 20, 2010 J. Skalski 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have a D40 and an SB400 as a secondary setup and wanted to have a quick off camera flash setup for it. Sadly because of the limitations of both camera and flash there is no other cost effective way to trigger the Flash of camera in TTL mode without a Flash Sync Cable. The Opteka cable is a much lower cost alternative to the Nikon version and has worked great. I tested the cable on a flash bracket with an SB900 on my D90 and found the cable is a bit long but it was nothing that a velcro strap didn't solve. I tossed up some quick pics of the results to demonstrate how this can be used as a quick off camera setup for the D40/SB400.
Camera Flash Snyc Cord February 14, 2010 CTM (California) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Works great. Too long but will do the job and plenty of places on handle to attach the cable. Does what it has do to.
